The Dietz family started in the construction industry in the early 1900's, by founder John Dietz. In those days it was common for carpenters to have a secondary trade, and John did. He was also a cigar maker. In 1921, John's son, Charles S. Dietz, took over the business and specialized in residential construction. He was followed by his son Charles C. Dietz in 1949. "Charlie" continued residential construction, and led the company into commercial construction as well. In 1969, Charlie incorporated the family business into today's name of C.C. Dietz, Inc. In 1982, Charles' son Scott took over as president of the company. Today, C.C. Dietz, Inc. is one of the most respected names in the construction industry in York County. The company covers most aspects of construction, including small repairs, remodeling, home additions, new custom homes, and small to medium commercial projects.
